It's a boy!

We already know it's a boy! Things could change, but the doctor says the little guy is pretty developed. You can tell in a couple of the pictures. When we went to get our ultrasound we were ready to watch a little blob sleep, but our baby never stopped moving. He jumped up and down and kept swimming out of the picture. The doctor had a hard time getting pictures because he wouldn't stop playing. I was laughing so hard because he can do backflips and frontflips already. I must say he is definitely a little Roberts already full of energy. The doctor commented that he has seen some active babies but our baby was the most active he has ever seen. We watched for a good fifteen minutes and the nurse said that Doctor Meredith has never watched a baby that long before. We all really enjoyed watching our baby put on a show for us. I felt pretty proud of my little boy!

Telling the Jones'

We wanted to wait for the entire family to be home but decided to tell my mom because they all left her on her birthday to go hunting. She was really excited to have another grandchild. Now all our baby needs is a couple of cousins his age (hint hint).

Week 12, 13, 14

Everyone always asks about a million questions about your pregnancy. I know I have asked my pregnant friends when did you start showing? How did you carry your baby? and another twenty or more questions. So, I decided I would put a picture weekly up of what I look like each week and that should answer a lot of the questions.

Telling the Roberts

We drove down to Washington to spend three days with Scott's family and surprise them with the news of their first grandchild. The first night we went out to eat at a Mexican restaurant that we eat at every time we visit. The waitor is a really good friend of the families and is full of energy and knows just about every customer. Scott gave him the ultrasound secretly and asked if he would give it to his parents randomly.
After eating for a couple of minutes Scott's grandma asked the waitor if he had any pictures of his recent baby and he pulled out the ultrasoud. Everyone looked at it and then handed it back and congradulated him. Then the waitor said, "No, this baby looks like a Roberts" everyone laughed and thought he was joking. Then he said, "this baby looks like him," and pointed to Scott. Everyone still laughed and didn't seem to be catching on that he was telling the truth. Eventually I popped in and said, "This really is our baby." They all stared at me blankly and didn't believe us until I showed them the name. Everyone was so excited and even Elaine (Scott's mom) shed a few tears.

Celebrating

After finding out Scott wanted to celebrate so he took us out to eat Mexican at our favorite restaurant.

Finding out

We found out we were pregnant on August 21st. I was two weeks late and finally decided to take a test. I had been putting it off because I had already taken two tests previous months and was left disappointed. This test was a little different and I was surprised to see a positive sign. I started jumping up and down and giggling and immediately called Scott. He was a little freaked out but happy!!
