The Crawl-Scoot

I wouldn't exactly call it crawling and it is not your typical scooting. So, it is the Crawl-Scoot. Lincoln gets up on his hands and knees, then he crawls two steps with only his legs and falls forward. Gets back up and repeats. We call it Lincoln scooting cause basically it involves a lot kicking his legs really fast. I have never seen anything like it, and if I could figure out how to post videos I would put it on here.
it is sad though that he is growing up. I enjoyed my little baby.

Halloween and pictures at last!!!!

I love holidays and with a baby I wanted to make every moment count. I mean it is his first halloween.

So first thing first...Decorating! I don't have a lot of decorations so this year I made one. I made this at my mom's wards enrichment. My mom paid for all of us girls to make one. I love it and actually really surprised it turned out.

Next: Pumpkin Shopping, this is a very serious process of picking the best pumpkin. Then when we are done we take them home and look at them and then think about what we are going to carve them into.

Next comes the haunted ginger bread house. This was my favorite part of halloween. The hardest part was making the gingerbread cookies. It might not look scary but if you look close you will notice gummybears hanging by their feet and one gummybear burning in the chimney, bwahahahahahaha!! Lincoln enjoyed eating frosting and Scott enjoyed doing weird things to my cute house.

Next comes carving pumpkins with the family. Lincoln just played with his mini pumpkin and scott carved fire and I carved stars.

Next is trick or treating at the mall and the zoo!! My best friend Amanda invited us to go to the zoo and it sounded crazy but it was a blast. We got lots of candy and got to see the animals. Lincoln LOVED the monkeys he wouldnt stop watching them. There was lots of lights, music, and decorations. I hope we go next year, it was a blast and very family fun.

and last but definitely not least.......eating the candy! lincoln loves candy(yes i let him eat candy cause I am not a crazy strict mom) and loves chewing on the wrapped candy.

Definitely a wonderful halloween and next year is going to be EVEN BETTER!

Scooting at last!

Lincoln finally figured it out! At my parents house he started pushing with his knees and pulling with his hands. Its slow but he gets to what he wants. I bet in a week it will be more like army crawling. Poor little guy finally figured out swimming doesn't work. So at almost 6 1/2 months he did it.

Six months

Lincoln is six months old today!!
The main thing he can now do is rech out when he wants to be held. I put him on the ground and he puts his hands above his head so I can hold him. It is so cute.

He also has got extremely hyper. He has always been a wiggle worm and constantly kicking. My family can't believe how much he moves. But now he doesn't just kick and jump he screams really loud and laughs really hard. He egts so excited sometimes and stands on his tiptoes and throws his hands in the air. It is really funny looking and then he will scream. My brotjer keeps telling me he is going to be out of control as soon as he can walk cause he already is out of control.

Another thing he has gotten really good at is moving in the direction he wants to go. I don't mean scooting I mean he will see something on his right and twists his body around to get to it.

He also does the "lizard" as we call it. He stivks his tongue in and out really fast just like a lizard. Its really weird but cute. He loves his tongue he always sticks out to the side of his mouth.

Lincoln wants to be a big boy so bad. When he watches his big cousins ay he gets so excitted and laughs at everything the do.

We love you lincoln, you have been such a blessing to us and bring us joy every day. We have never met suc a happy and smilley baby and you never fail to make us smile to.

Ps. I did this post on my phone so sorry about the miss spelled words.

God Give me Strength

One of my biggest flaws, and I have many of them, is ignoring the big trials in my life. I just pretend they don't exist. It's so much easier to live life when I think it's perfect. Am I the only one like that? I can't be!

Recently I've been going through something, and no I am not going to share it on a public blog, but it's been a real mental challenge for me. There's some days where I wonder if I can get through this. Sometimes I drive with Lincoln around town, and I just want to keep on driving right out of here. It's silly to be so weak over something so small. Why am I so weak? I keep telling myself that it will get better, and I know it will if I pray hard enough. I keep having faith that things will improve, and I've been putting all my energy into God.

Lately I've been praying every morning and night for Gods strength, and I feel his presence in my life. I have asked him to bring me peace and power to overcome my trials. I've been doing everything I can to live a clean life so I can have the Holy Spirit close to my heart. I read my scriptures daily, pray with Our family, do family home evening, go to church every Sunday, fulfill my calling on Tuesdays, abstain from swearing or vulgar language, and I haven't been watching PG-13 movies either! Wahoo! I know everyone does these things anyways, but I've never been great at being super Mormon. I just want to be my best, so God will grant me peace and blessings.

I envision my life in five years, and I know that this trial will have passed. I envision our family with another little one or two. I picture us laughing and playing together in a stable environment. I picture me looking back on this post and smiling, smiling because I stayed strong and it was worth it. Smiling because I chose to fight and overcome my struggles and not to run away. Smiling because my life is better from this trial, and I am a stronger person.

That's why I hold on. I hold on knowing God will protect me, and He knows what is best for me.

4.5-5.5 months old FIRSTS

Lincoln has had a lot of firsts this past month.

We went to the zoo!
As soon as we got back to Idaho we took a trip to the zoo with the Jones family. I actually don't like the zoo, but with a baby I totally enjoyed it. Lincoln loved the animals and never cried once.

We went to Jackson and played on park toys

I love my baby

He met his new cousins Cohen and Crew! They are both so cute and I can't wait fot them to play together....

He went on his first official fourwheeler ride and he loved it. He kept trying to stand up so he could feel the wind better and he would stomp his feet really hard. (He is kind of like a dog, but instead of wagging his tail when he is happy he stomps his feet and kicks like crazy)

He went on his first official hike. Up the mountain where scott and I had our first wonderful date. So the three of us and Grandma Roberts and Grumppa(he likes this name)climbed the mountain. He loved it so much. He kept looking down the mountain and everytime we looked at him he smiled. On the way down he fell asleep.

Lincoln also took his very first poop in the toilet! A messy story I don't have the time or patience to tell.

He also tries to crawl. For the past two weeks Lincoln gets up on his hands and knees and rocks but......never moves. I don't think he will ever crawl and scooting is hopeless. He scoots across his bed when I put him in there. Then I put him on the floor and he starts swimming, he just doesn't get it! I even tried giving him doggy biscuits!

Alright so there is one thing I absolutely love about having a baby, and that just happens to be dressing him up. I love baby clothes and always make sure Lincoln in stylin' and so of course I bought him his first cute winter hat!

Lincoln spent the day with his cousin and new best friend Cohen. They both love stroller walks and playing outside in the grass. Leena and I liked walking and getting out of the house.

Lincoln went on the trampoline for the first time. He loves it and laughs the entire time.

Here are just a bunch of cute pictures of Lincoln. I love him so much, I am so blessed to have this wonderful baby in my life. I know I am his mom but he really is the cutest baby I have ever seen!

So I just thought I would show you some pictures of some really cute girls!
