Two

Sometimes I worry about my son. I mean he IS already 2 1/2 and he still can't read. It seems like the only thing he is interested in is cars and toys. Which is just NOT acceptable (insert sarcasm).

Last night, while I was reading him his bedtime story, I kept asking him the colors of the trucks.
"What color is this truck?" I asked.

"Yellow green" he said.

"No it is red. What color is this truck?" I asked again.

"Yellow green," he said.

"No it is blue. What about this truck? If you can guess the right color you don't have to go to bed!" I bribed.

"Yellow green" he smiled.

"Ugh! It is blue again! Well how old are you?" I knew he could get this one.

He looked at me blankly.

I held up two fingers, "Are you this many?" I probed.

"Peace!" he said.

Well at least he will be cool in school.

Where’d My Cars Go?

Lincoln was playing with his cars in the living room, while I was busy dusting under the piano.

“Mama? Where’d my cars go?” he asked with his hands in the air and his eyes wide.

“I have no idea,” I sighed still dusting.

“Mama! Where’d my cars go?” he asked loudly. I then began walking around the room peaking behind the furniture to find the mysteriously lost cars. They didn’t seem to be anywhere.

“I find them! I find them!” he screamed excitedly.

I turned to find him digging them out of his pajamas.

His new favorite place to hide things is in his pants or pajamas. It reminds me of Tommy off of the T.V show “The Rugrats”.

Hotdog Spaghetti

For dinner Lincoln and I stabbed spaghetti noodles into hotdogs.

Lincoln thought it was awesome and was flying them around like space ships. IMG_6890

When they were finished, we gobbled them up in a cream sauce. Mmmmmmmm!IMG_6896

I Need the Internet

Yep, I do not have the internet. I do have it on my phone and that has always been good enough. Well, good enough for everything but blogging. That issue was easily solved, I do a post on my computer and then go outside and steal the internet off my neighbors. Totally wrong? I know, I know.

Well stealing was the solution until this morning. I had just finished a post on Lincoln and went outside to publish it.

Picture it:
I am wearing my pink bathrobe, no shoes, it is ridiculously cold and I am walking in the trees with my computer over my head looking for connection. After wacking limbs away and tilting my computer at the perfect angle I finally get connection! Of course at that exact moment my neighbor made his way outside. I stood there looking like an idiot for a brief second, debating over whether publishing this post was more impotant than my life, before making a mad dash back to the house. I am hoping he didn't notice.

All future posts may have to be done from my phone......or after the neighbors go to bed.

Green Ghosts?

Yesterday for family home evening we made ghosts for Halloween! I bought the tissue, string and markers and was ready to make adorable ghosts.

Then I opened the tissue box. They were green. Why did I buy green tissues?  IMG_6899

We made them anyways, and I have to say they are much more scary than boring white ghosts!
