Maverick is Six Months Old

I took Maverick’s six month pictures a couple of days ago and he was pretty sick, but the moment you smile at this cutie he can’t help but smile!mav3 mav5 mav6 mav8 mav9 mav11

Maverick is half-way to being an entire year old! He is our little cheese ball and smiles so much with the goofiest LONGEST smile in the world. We LOVE it!

Likes:

  • All food
  • Eating paper, plastic and all choking hazards
  • Mommy
  • The remote control, strings and tags
  • Playing by Lincoln
  • Getting stuck in the blinds
  • Taking baths
  • Being outside

Dislikes:

  • Sitting up. He will sit for like five minutes and start crying until he pulls himself or falls to his belly.
  • Getting his nose wiped at all.

Wears:

  • 3-6 Month
  • Some 6-9 month
  • Size 3 diapers

Sleeps:

Before he got sick last week, he was on the perfect schedule with three naps during the day and 12 hours straight at night. Now he wakes up all the time at night! Ugh! Can’t wait for him to feel good again.

Nicknames:

Smavo and Mavo and Mav

Milestones:

Started rocking on his knees and crawls his back legs.

He is good at scooting now and instead of smashing his face in the ground, he pulls with his arms.

Here is a quick video I took of him just a week ago.

I will keep it short and sweet today, but we sure love Maverick!

Redneck Christmas

This year we celebrated Christmas THREE times! We celebrated with the Roberts’ family a week before, we celebrated with my parents and sister on Christmas day and then we celebrated with a bunch of weird rednecks a few days after. The only one I feel like blogging about(today) is the redneck one.

My sister Eleena and her family were moving into a new apartment and the boys helped. When they got there, a couch was left behind. I imagine the conversation went something like this:

Ryan: Hey, I have an idea! Lets take this couch and burn it.

Eleena: That sounds like a brilliant plan! If they ask about their couch, I will say it was gone when we got here.

Scott: I have a better idea, let’s hook it up behind the razor and ride it.

And so they tied it up behind the razor…..

It was scary! Like I-think-the-couch-is-going-to-break-and-I-am-going-to-get-stabbed-by-something scary! IMG_3678And then the couch did break and I flew off the back.IMG_3682  After that, I got too nervous to keep riding and hopped on the four-wheeler. Scott rode like a champ!IMG_3695    IMG_3679

After it was so broken and no one dared to ride it any more, we burned it.IMG_3712 IMG_3702 IMG_3704

On a side-note, I totally lost my pregnancy weight
