Lincoln’s first birthday went better than planned, the decorations were perfect and he handled the full house amazingly. Lincoln’s first year of life is full of memories and fun and I am excited for the years to come!
Rubber Ducky Your the One!
I sent out birthday invitations to family. We decided to do just a family party this year because both the Roberts and Jones family members came to celebrate this special day.
Here are the invitations:
Next Came the Decorations:
I did blue balloons and yellow streamers and tableware. This is the birthday present table. On it you will notice a pile of rubber duckys that were the party favors. They are necklaces that open and blow bubbles.
This is the treat table! 3 fish bowls filled with blue candy, orange fishy crackers, and yellow candy. The cake is a rubber ducky and the cupcakes are frosted with blue (water) and yellow rubber duckys. and fish crackers scattered across the counter.
my mom did the cupcakes for me and I did the cake (Thanks Lisa for the pan)
We had rummy roll sandwiches and a vegetable tray for ducky food.
I took the rubber ducky and filled it with snow(bubbles) and everyone’s favorite drinks!
Grandma and the birthday boy sporting his bubble necklace
As you can see the little kids had a blast with the bubbles and Lincoln was just excited his cousin Ryker was there to play.
Cake Time!
The only thing Lincoln wanted to do with his cake was put his foot on it. With 30 people staring at him he just wanted off the table.
Scott helped destroy the cake, but Lincoln wanted the fishy crackers instead. He crawled over the cake to get one, haha!
Present Time!
Lincoln was extremely spoiled on his birthday. From 13 pairs of shorts, 2 pairs of shoes, 3 pairs of pants, 15 shirts, lots and lots of toys, a car seat, and a new bike trailor/jogging strolled he sure raked in the goods!
Toy from Grandma Jones
Playing with his cool toys!
Lincoln’s favorite toy was this ball from GG Roberts. He was walking around quite a bit too, he is such a big boy!
Some of the many clothes!
We decided to buy Lincoln this jogging stroller/ bike trailer because we can use it for baby #2 and not have to worry about buying a double stroller and a bike trailer. A worthwhile investment. We spent our Saturday biking and Lincoln fell asleep.
Car seat! Making sure Lincoln can’t fall out. Funny Scott!
Overall it was a great memorable birthday! We love you Lincoln.
Easter
Easter was a blast! Well Easter is always a blast with my family. We have a family tradition where we have a “Big Kid Easter Egg Hunt” and my parents hide 100s of eggs and lots of money. We did pretty well, finding 20 dollars and winning 5 prizes. Usually we find the most eggs and win nothing! Of course my parents, being the brains they are, actually hid the money in the eggs so there is still $20 out there somewhere! haha!
Pictures from Easter Morning. The Easter bunny brought us lots of yummy candy and treats. Scott got blue, I got pink and Lincoln got yellow.
Baby Easter Egg Hunt
After 2 days of Crazy fun and no naps Lincoln was whooped and began cuddling lots and lots. I was so proud of him for being such a good baby. So happy even with no sleep!
We love you Lincoln! You have been such a great blessing in our lives. It’s been fun, hard, exciting, emotional and the best experience ever!
