Happy 4th of July

I LOVE the fourth of July because it is a holiday that doesn’t have to be stressful. My plan every year is to have the least amount of plan possible and to just enjoy the day. Last year was probably my favorite fourth ever, but this one was definitely a close second.

Riding the bus to the parade: This was Lincoln’s favorite part. He loves to ride the bus and the city set up free busses for this special day.

The Parade: Lincoln of course loved the parade and waving to strangers. It was a really good parade but a little long, so we actually left a little early. It was better than any parade we have been to so we were happy. IMG_9304   IMG_9309

We didn’t buy fireworks this year but just a bunch of boxes of “Pop Its” and we had a “Pop Its” fight. IMG_9325 IMG_9332 IMG_9335 IMG_9337 IMG_9342

Then we went to the movie “Avengers”. We decided every year to go to a movie on the fourth as a tradition. Last year we went to “Rio”. Scott got two movie tickets from his work so we decided to use them for our tradition.

Barbeque time!

I seriously love my boys!    IMG_9380  IMG_9383 IMG_9386 Lincoln loved the bouncy toys…..but then again who wouldn’t?IMG_9394 IMG_9397 IMG_9405

The fireworks were a big disappointment and is the reason I love doing them in my backyard. Nothing can beat blowing stuff up yourself.

It was an awesome low-stress day and we all had a lot of fun! Next year will hopefully be just as good!
