Hates:
- 6:00-7:30 is his grumpy time unless we are outside or going for walks.
Milestones:
- Started laughing: On September 30 he gave us his first laugh. We were in church and Scott was smiling at him as he sat in his car seat. Then Scott would rock his seat and kind of bounce him. He was talking and talking and smiling bigger and bigger and I KNEW that a laugh was coming soon. And sure enough he started laughing. It was incredibly cute and all three of us (Scott, me and Lincoln) were laughing and smiling and being overly noisy right in the middle of church. But we didn’t care because it was SO CUTE!
- Rolled over: He rolled over for “real” on October 5th, just one week before he turned three months. I put him to take his nap on his tummy and when I went to get him, he was laying on his back. He has been trying for a couple of weeks so I knew it was any day!
Sleeps:
- Sleeps through the night! Yay!
- At 9 weeks(Barely two months) he started doing eight hours straight and at 10 weeks he started doing 9-10 hours straight.
- Takes three 1-2 hour naps during the day and one cat nap at night before bed.
- Wakes up at 8:00 and goes to bed at 7:30. Sleeps between 17-19 hours a day.
Wears:
- Size Two Diapers
- 0-3 Month clothes. I put his newborn clothes away at 11 weeks.
- 3-6 month clothes but they are really big on him.
Nicknames:
- Mavo (Lincoln)
- Mav (Everyone)
- Chub-Chubbs (Mom and Dad)
- Lil-Fella (Dad and Lincoln)
Firsts:
First laugh! He smiles now whenever we look at him or go to pick him up. He is an extremely happy baby. First bath with Lincoln First time riding in the hiking carrier. I can’t believe he fits….well kind of fits. First time wearing a onsie OVER his jeans. (Daddy dressed him) First corn maze (a first for dad and Lincoln too!)
Extra:
and lots and lots of pictures……of course!
I think he looks like an adorable little monkey.
Maverick is always so full of smiles and loves to snuggle with mommy when he is sad but daddy is his favorite to smile at. He is already very interested in the world around him and it makes it difficult to feed him because he is easily distracted. He is content with laying in his bouncer, but being held or pushed in the stroller keeps him continually happy. Even though he is an infant, he is way easier than Lincoln. I want him to stay little because newborns are SO easy for me!
Pooping everywhere is still a regular thrill for him.
Sometimes I look over at him and think, “Wow! I have two kids! You are my baby!” but mostly I look at him and think, “You have only been with us for three months?”.
There is no doubt in my mind that Maverick is suppose to be apart of our family. His strong, sweet spirit is always reminding me of how blessed our little family is.
