Maverick is Two Months

Likes:

• Swinging in his swing
• Sleeping on his belly
• Sitting up
• Being outside
• Stroller rides
• Baths in hot water
• Diaper changes
• Going for walks
• Being naked
• His binky(yay, we get him to take it without gagging!)
• Cooing and talking
• Cuddling and sleeping in our arms

Hates:

• Laying on his back
• Being left alone in another room. We will all leave our bedroom and soon we hear him squawk out to let us know he wants to follow. Then we put him by us and he continues being happy.
• Missing naps. If there is one way to make him grumpy, it is missing naps or taking them late.
• His car seat

Milestones:

• Started smiling. It is hard to get Maverick to smile but when he does, it is this huge open-mouth grin that lights up his whole face—and mine.

Sleeps:

This little baby is full of surprises when it comes to sleeping. One night he will go six hours straight and the next night he will only do four. I literally never know what I am going to get, but he usually sleeps from 9:30-2:30 then wakes at 5:00 to eat and sleeps until 8:30. He takes three long naps in his crib and two short naps in our arms at night.

Wears:

• Size two diapers
• Newborn and 0-3 months clothes. He is really long so it all depends on the outfit.

Nicknames:

Mavo (Lincoln calls him this)

Firsts:

First time swimming at six weeks old. I only got a picture by the side of the pool.

Blessing Day:

Blessed on September 2, 2012 by his daddy at seven weeks old.

Papa and Grandma Jones drove all the way from Idaho to come for the special day.   Our Perfect little family of four Grandma, Grandpa and Lindsey Roberts all came too!  Grandma Jones bought Maverick this adorable blessing outfit! Does it get any cuter than this?

First time smiling at people. Maverick started smiling at six weeks and each week he gets more and more smiley.

First Hike.

He was good the entire time and slept for most of the way there and back. He better like it because in this family we do a lot of hiking.

First time Daddy gave him a bath and loved every moment of it.

First bus ride:

First firework show and fair: At first he was scared but then quickly cuddled up to daddy and slept through all the noise.

First time sleeping in his crib. Maverick takes naps in his crib during the day and doesn’t make a peep!

Other:

Lincoln is always asking if he can hold Maverick and he always is trying to play with him. I can already tell that they are going to be best buds. Check out those big, beautiful eyes

 

Maverick is our little angel and we love him so much! I can’t believe he has only been with us for two short months. These past months have been such a blast and there hasn’t been a dull moment.
